Barbados - December 3rd to December 12th, 2012
We arrived in Barbados at 12:07 am on December 4th due to a maintenance delay with the aircraft. Thankfully, the taxi arranged by the villa was waiting for us. We did not rent a car and are glad we didn't. The streets are narrow with lots of roundabouts, a lot of traffic and they drive on the wrong side of the road! There are busses that can take you wherever you want to go on the island. Cost is only $1 US or $2 Bajan. There are two types of busses - the blue goverment busses and the yellow Reggae busses. The difference is the Reggae busses play loud music and pack them full. The goverment busses will only stop a the bus stops - the Reggae bus will stop anywhere. So we usually took them, because they would drop us off at the villa gates.

The first morning we walked down to the shopping center in Holetown to get groceries. On the way we stopped to explore the oldest church on the island.
We went snorkeling and swimming almost everyday. Mostly in the ocean and occasionally in the pool
